WellPsyched | Health Psychology
Psychological support for health, change and real life.
Sometimes we know how we want to live, but struggle to get there.
Whether you are adapting to a health condition, struggling with how you feel, or trying to make meaningful changes in your life, psychology can help you understand what is getting in the way and find a realistic way forward.
What Brings You Here?
Most people come to WellPsyched for one of two broad reasons
Living with a health condition can affect far more than your physical health.
It can influence how you feel, how you see yourself, your relationships, your confidence and the way you approach everyday life.
You might be:
Adjusting to a recent diagnosis
Managing ongoing symptoms like pain, fatigue or visible changes
Feeling anxious about your health
Struggling with low mood or loss of motivation
Finding treatment or self-management difficult
trying to maintain routine and lifestyle changes
feeling disconnected to the person you were before
I offer psychological support to help you adjust, cope, and regain a greater sense of direction and control.
Living with a Health Condition
Feeling Stuck/ Wanting to Make Changes
You may not think that you need traditional therapy, but something still does not feel right.
Perhaps you know how you want to live, but repeatedly struggle to follow through.
You might be:
Lacking motivation or direction
Feeling stuck in patterns that are difficult to change
Struggling to build healthier routines
Feeling burnt out or disconnected from yourself
Finding that insight alone is not leading to action
Wanting to make changes that feel realistic and sustainable
Questioning what matters to you and what should come next
I offer psychologically informed support to help you understand what is keeping you stuck, clarify what matters and make changes that work within the reality of your life.
WellPsyched: beyond the therapy room
WellPsyched begins with health psychology support, but it does not end in the therapy room.
It is also a wider exploration of what helps humans live well: behaviour change, motivation, identity, health, values and what happens when real life gets in the way of our intentions.
Through future videos, reflections and practical resources, I will share ideas that are evidence-informed, open-minded and grounded in lived experience.
The aim is not to offer perfect answers, but to ask better questions and make psychology useful in everyday life.
" Living well isn't about perfection.
It's about learning how to move forward within the reality of your own life.
I'm Dr Carl Bryce, a Chartered Psychologist and HCPC-registered Health Psychologist.
Alongside running the WellPsyched private practice, I work as a Senior Health Psychologist within the NHS, supporting people living with a wide range of long-term health conditions.
Before entering psychology, I served in the British Army and later worked as a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist.
Those experiences continue to shape the way I work today: practical, psychologically informed, compassionate and grounded in the reality of people’s lives.
I do not believe that people need to be reduced to a diagnosis, a set of symptoms or a list of behaviours that need correcting.
My role is to help you understand what is happening, identify what matters and find a way forward that feels both meaningful and achievable.
